Question1

What should I expect when I receive a massage?

Do I have to undress totally?

Why is music used?

Plan on arriving about 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. This will allow you to complete a Client Information Form. The Client Information Form will help the massage therapist determine your preferences and allow you to inform the massage therapist of any areas that require special attention.

Before you receive your massage it is a good idea not to eat a large or heavy meal. You may want to shower just before your session to assist in loosening tight muscles you may have.

Next you will get undressed in private in the massage room, and lie face up on the massage table, draping yourself with a sheet and blanket. The therapist will re-enter the room when you are ready.

A general full body massage will include work on your head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, back and feet. The length of the massage is your choice-a quick chair massage, a 30-minute mini-massage, a 60-minute full body massage, or a 90-minute full body massage, which will allow for extra attention to the specific areas of your request.

When your sessions concludes, your therapist will leave the room and allow you to take your time and get dressed in private.

Once you are up and moving about, the therapist will give you a glass of water and recommend that you drink plenty of water to flush the toxins that the massage has released out of your system.

The type of session you choose will determine your appropriate stage of undress. You may leave on your undergarments, or remove them, as you feel comfortable. Our ultimate goal is your total relaxation. Traditional full body massage strokes are more effective when they are not interrupted by clothing. Your privacy will be respected at all times during your session. The only area of your body that will be uncovered will be the area your therapist is working on at that specific time.

You may choose to have a sports massage. For this session, you should wear loose fitting shorts to allow for stretching.

At Therapeutic Health Works, we understand that a massage can be a powerful experience for the body, mind, and spirit. To ensure that you receive the most out of your massage experience, we offer relaxing music to set the tone and create a tranquil atmosphere.

Music can be an effective tool to help reduce stress and anxiety while also amplifying the massage experience. Studies have shown that music can slow the heart rate and lower blood pressure, and the calming atmosphere it creates can help to relax the body, mind, and spirit. Additionally, music can be an effective tool to help with pain management. It can provide distraction from physical discomfort, allowing the body to relax and the mind to drift away.

Are the products used during my massage available for sale?

Yes, ask your therapist for more information. All of our products will assist you in recreating your relaxing experience just about anywhere, including at home.
